About desktop speech recognition:
Desktop speech recognition is more accessible than ever today! People are more comfortable with speech recognition technology, thanks to the technology's deep penetration in many aspects of common day life. Still, there were no real affordable desktop solutions that really allowed to control a desktop computer through speech. That was all before SpeechVibe.
About IVRs:
If you feel that promises about speech recognition technology have yet to be fulfilled, you are not alone. Although the usefulness of today’s speech recognition technology in integrated voice response systems (IVR) is undeniable, many customers remain frustrated with the never ending series of prompts and command sequences they must endure in order to navigate through these systems.
Using concepts in speech recognition is a major improvement over current state of the art technology. Conceptual speech recognition goes beyond sound matching and, instead, derives meanings as recognition proceeds. Just imagine an automated call, as in the airline industry, that prompts the user with "Hello! What can I do for you?". The user could as well respond by "I’d like to speak with a representative about paying the flight I reserved" or "I would like to know if flight six hundred arrived and at which gate". Either way, the system would provide the exact response expected by routing the call or providing the flight schedule information that was requested without the intervention of an operator. Following more than three years of research and development on the topic, Conceptual Speech Technologies, LLC has invented and patented a process that allows such an interaction to be possible between a speaker and an automated device.

Conceptual Speech Recognition (CSR) frees users from having to go
through menu prompts and complex or numerous grammars that we all
find so annoying, and brings the speech recognition experience to an
unrivaled level. Users can simply state their inquiry in their own words.
CSR determines the concepts conveyed and reacts to them according to
your specifications.
Conceptual Speech Commander (CSC) is your key to unlocking the power
of CSR. With CSC, you too can develop a CSR enabled system that
analyzes speech content, extracts a true understanding of the concepts
communicated by your customers and enables your system to respond
accordingly. A CSR enabled system will help decrease the number of
callers opting out of the system, and will save costs by minimizing the
need for human intervention.

What is Conceptual Speech
Recognition and what can it do
for you?
Conceptual Speech Recognition
uses phonetic, syntactic, statistical and
conceptual analysis to accurately
calculate and react to concepts
conveyed by speakers.
It can significantly improve your
bottom-line by offering a more
spontaneous interaction to
customers while reducing the
number of calls that need to be
handled by live operators.

Important note: You may wonder, where is Conceptual Speech Recognition today as Conceptual Speech Commander is still in Beta? The proof of concept is strong in the Beta version of Conceptual Speech Commander, so why the delay? Further reasearch has demonstrated that the need for a statistical model to be involved into the conceptual speech recognition process is required in order to cut down on the processing time during the syntactic analysis phase. Although a worst-case scenario covered in the Conceptual Speech's LLC patent in order to handle real-world conceptual domains, there are no speech engine currently available able to return a list of N-Best words and also able to accept an ARPA compliant language model. For this reason, Conceptual Speech Technologies, LLC has to explore options to allocate further financing to develop its own speech recognition engine and/or wait for one of the major speech engine to be adapted in such a way that it will become possible to integrate this statistical bias and improve conceptual speech recognition's performance. As demonstrated in Conceptual Speech Commander Beta, Conceptual Speech Recognition works. This is a major achievement as for the first time, real concepts are used successfully in speech recognition. It's all now down to a simple matter of scalability in order to improve performance so the technology can be deployed with large enough conceptual domains and improve speech users experience in the real-world. CLUE
|
One of the goals of business is to cut the cost of customer support while
improving the level of service. Imagine an efficient automation process
that can handle e-mail messages, web forms or batch processing of text
documents. Well, now there is such a system. CLUE (Conceptual
Language Understanding Engine) can help you meet your customer
service goals by understanding concepts in digital text and providing the
customer with efficient and accurate responses, and without the need for
human intervention.
CLUE applies the same principals used in Conceptual Speech recognition
to digital text, and enables it to be analyzed in such a way that a true
understanding of the concepts communicated can be extracted and
reacted to without human intervention.
|
Why manipulate digital text,
and why concepts?
If accurately and automatically
responding to an e-mail or a web
form inquiry means that a
customer service representative
will receive one less call, then
your costs have come down.
Accurately reacting to digital text
structured in natural language
must involve concepts since they
are the sole reason of
communication. Communicating
words is not what
communication is all about, but
using words to communicate
concepts is what humans do
best.
