The Airline Scheduling Concept Handler
The Airline Scheduling Concept Handler is an example of what Conceptual Speech Commander can do. Imagine that you have to pick-up a friend or familly at the airport and that you truly do not appreciate waiting for a delayed flight. You are comfortably sitting at your computer at work and you send an e-mail asking for the status of the flight. Thirty seconds later, you receive your reply with the information that you requested.
In order to try that system, follow these simple instructions:
- Assume that current time is 14:52 (hard-coded for demo purposes).
- Refer to the schedule of flights handled to know which flight to inquiry on (or inquiry on a flight that doesn't exist to see the response).
- Send an e-mail to Airline Scheduling Concept Handler (ensure the subject stays "CLUE Airline Response System Question") with your question in the body of the e-mail.
- Wait for your reply to be delivered in your mailbox.

Do more with less!
The Airline Scheduling Concept Handler responds to scheduling inquiries for now, but, everything is in place for more complex interactions to be handled through Conceptual Speech Commander.
As an example, it is easy to improve that system so that call-backs are made to e-mail senders. Someone could send and e-mail with the content stating "Give me a call at 212-555-1212 when flight 600 will be an half-hour from landing". At which time, Conceptual Speech Commander initiates a call at the stated phone number and produces some synthetized audio informing the listener of the future arrival of the flight.
