Conceptual Speech Commander Pre-Release 2 is now available to the public as a download. This version handles audio input and responds with the conceptual speech recognition analysis of its content. It also includes our Conceptual Language Understanding Engine (CLUE) for performing conceptual analysis of text. To try it, click here.

One of the goals of business is to cut the cost of customer support while improving the level of service. Imagine an efficient automation process that can handle e-mail messages, web forms or batch processing of text documents. Well, now there is such a system. CLUE (Conceptual Language Understanding Engine) can help you meet your customer service goals by understanding concepts in digital text and providing the customer with efficient and accurate responses, and without the need for human intervention.

CLUE applies the same principals used in Conceptual Speech recognition to digital text, and enables it to be analyzed in such a way that a true understanding of the concepts communicated can be extracted and reacted to without human intervention.

CLUE enables an information server to accurately analyze digital text and react to it intelligently!

CLUE is available to try here.

Why manipulate digital text, and why concepts?

If accurately and automatically responding to an e-mail or a web form inquiry means that a customer service representative will receive one less call, then your costs have come down. Accurately reacting to digital text structured in natural language must involve concepts since they are the sole reason of communication.

Communicating words is not what communication is all about, but using words to communicate concepts is what humans do best.

Example of applications built with CLUE

  • E-mail and web-form analyzers:
Spot concepts in e-mail traffic and web-forms at your business and react accordingly.

  • Intelligent automated e-mail and web-form answering:
Interact with your customers by allowing them more freedom through email or web-forms. The more flexibility you offer them, the better they’ll feel about their customer service experience. For example, an airline transporter could react to e-mails containing information like: “Give me a call at 555-555-1212 half an hour before flight 852 lands.” Even your competition using state-of-the-art speech recognition cannot touch that.

  • Data mining and search engines:
Why would data mining and search engines need to be limited to words? They become much more powerful by targeting concepts instead of words. CLUE allows hits where concepts are central, ending with fewer, yet higher quality results.

  • Language is not exclusively for linguists: If you have a thorough understanding of the English and some senior programming experience, you have enough knowledge to build and customize CSR system so it can understand and react to natural language inquiries according to your needs. The pre-determined syntactic and conceptual rules are highly customizable, and can be made more flexible or stricter depending on your targeted audience. Our dictionary explorer enables you to build and fine-tune conceptual domains that meet the needs of your business. With CLUE, your developers can create and maintain your own system, further reducing your cost and dependence on outside resources. Of course, our technicians are always ready to provide any support you may need.

  • Concepts are central: In CLUE, concepts conveyed are the key. As for human communications, words are only of interest in order to arrive at concepts. CLUE does not perform word spotting, but more precisely concept spotting in digital text.

  • Test environment: The included CLUE Software Development Kit (SDK) allows you to periodically run your test cases to ensure a high level of response accuracy.

  • The flexibility and power of a SDK: CLUE is an open architecture and comes complete with a development kit that allows your developers to do whatever you want! Should you desire database changes from your language analysis, or e-mail responses to be sent back, provided the conventional programming languages that CLUE can interact with, everything is possible.

  • The Dictionary Explorer: A development environment adapted for the production of CLUE implementations is part of the product. Using the Dictionary Explorer, words can be added and defined conceptually, and syntactic and conceptual rules can be manipulated. The Dictionary Explorer is the only component required to produce a complete and powerful natural language interaction experience.

  • CLUE is upgradeable to Conceptual Speech Commander: When you decide that your CLUE system is so good that you want to extend it for speech to be processed as efficiently, you can upgrade to Conceptual Speech Commander (CSC) with little effort since both use the same configuration languages and technology!

  • The CLUE console: Once your implementation is deployed, monitoring accuracy and performance is what makes a good system even better.

  • Solutions: Concept manipulation is fairly novel. We can either build your CLUE system for you, or help you develop your own solution with the support of our team of qualified engineers. However you choose, Conceptual Speech Technologies, LLC is available to help you in create complete solutions for your automated customer support needs.

  • Pricing Model: The pricing model is based on the number of servers used in your CLUE deployments. Such a model allows you to economically deploy dedicated servers that perform digital text analysis using CLUE.

  • Hardware Requirements:
    • 2GHz Pentium 4, Athlon XP
    • 512 MB of RAM
    • 500 MB of free disk space
    • Windows NT, 2000 or XP
CLUE can work in concert with Conceptual Speech Commander to minimize your customer service expenses.
